The Italian club Sampdoria, playing in Serie B, announced this Wednesday the official signing of Senegalese striker Mbaye Niang, after the termination of his contract with Wydad Casablanca.
According to Italian press reports, Niang has signed a six-month contract with Sampdoria, valid until the end of the current season, with an option to extend for the following season. Wydad Casablanca terminated Niang’s contract after he failed to make the expected impact in attack, scoring just two goals.
Wydad recruited Niang during the last summer transfer window as part of a free transfer.
