The Costellois Artists (LAC) will exhibit at the Château de Beaulieu in Riorges for their 30th e birthday. Paintings and photographs will be on display from Saturday January 25 to Sunday February 2.
LAC is one of the city’s essential associations. Created in 1995, the association was founded by Simone Boutet, then chaired by Jane Coppéré, currently it is Manuel Gallardo who directs it.
Manuel Gallardo wants to leave the presidency
During their general meeting held on Saturday January 11, the office was reappointed, but Manuel Gallardo, who has chaired the association since 2018, announced that he wanted to hand over “smoothly”. 2025 will be a year of transition, but workshops, courses and other participation in events will still be relevant.
During this meeting several subjects were discussed including the exhibition for the 30 e anniversary, which will take place from Saturday January 25 to Sunday February 2 at the Château de Beaulieu in Riorges, where a spotlight will be given to the artist Danielle Barthollet. 140 paintings (paintings and drawings) created by 27 artists will be exhibited on two floors, as well as the works of the association’s six photographers. The “Terre” workshop, which begins at the LAC, will also present some original pieces.
Another important subject discussed, that of the creation of the cultural space in the building of the former Coteau station, which should see the light of day at the end of 2025. Some concerns were raised by the president to which Joy Talbat responded , assistant for culture, confirming that the work should begin in the coming months, although there is doubt about the opening date.
Exposition. Free entry every day from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The opening will take place on Saturday January 25, at 5 p.m.
