Since 1is January, a major recovery reform applies to all of Quebec, including the Lanaudière region. From now on, a wider variety of plastic materials are accepted in recycling bins, which simplifies sorting for citizens.
This reform, led by Éco Entreprises Québec (EEQ), marks an important turning point in the management of recyclable materials.
Among the new features, all containers, packaging and printed matter can now be placed in the recycling bins. #6 plastics including individual yogurt pots, chip bags, granola bar wrappers are examples of items now authorized.
