He is one of the best-known dancers in France. Christophe Licataleading professional of “Dancing with the Stars”, was the guest of “Buzz TV” this Tuesday, January 14. The native of La Ciotat, who came to promote Revelation(s) published by Harper Collins, discusses his return in season 14 of «Dancing with the stars»soon launched on TF1.
He thought a lot before returning to the program. Mainly because of the controversy sparked by the clash between Inès Reg (his partner, Editor’s note.) and Natasha St-Pier occurred last year. “I asked myself questions, I made the decision to withdraw”he assures before revealing that it was his partner from season 14, of whom he prefers to keep a mystery, who convinced her to come back. “I was presented with this profile, I thought about it a lot and I decided to leave for a year.”

The dancer, father of a seven-year-old boy named Livio, talks about the other argument that convinced him to embark on a 14th season of “Dancing with the Stars”: the location of the rehearsals. The 38-year-old man confides a little more about his son, Livio. “Now he’s grown up and he realizes it”he analyzes in relation to his absences of several months for “Dancing with the Stars”. “When he was little, it was easier.” Is his son already developing a taste for dancing? The choreographer also describes himself as a “daddy hen” : “I am caring but I like to set a framework. The role of a parent is to teach their child the values of life, so I hold on to that and I try to do it as best I can.” He then admits to being the “bad cop” of the couple he forms with his partner Coralie, before revealing behind the scenes of their meeting… On the set of “It’s my choice”.
A meeting in the spotlight
“My first dance partner was my sister, we were on set (from “It’s my choice”, Editor’s note.) together, and there I see this girl, I have a crush on her”he remembers with a smile. “I go home and tell my mother “I’m going to marry her”. I don’t know, it was love at first sight, a sixth sense.”
He found her again four years later, when his sister left the world of dance to study. “I learned that she separated from her partner. We contact each other and she comes to my house in the south to try out dancing.”remembers Christophe Licata. “I made her mother believe that it was just for dancing, but in the end I got married to her!” And the love has lasted for twenty years.
