“Not something crazy”: Cassandra Julia at the heart of a lively controversy, her comments on school bullying which do not pass

Cassandra Julia, a reality candidate well known to the general public for her participation in several popular shows, finds herself at the center of a lively controversy after having held controversial comments on school bullying.

During a recent intervention on social networks, with his darling Simon Castaldi the young woman minimized the extent of the phenomenon, provoking a wave of outraged reactions from Internet users, but also from associations fighting against harassment.

Controversial comments

It all started when Cassandra Julia shared a video in which she appears alongside her darling Simon Castaldi. Both were asking questions about common life topics such as life as a couple or childbirth. Then came the scourge of school bullying. Simon Castaldi then assured that if he were the father of a child harasser, he would not hesitate to physically correct him. “I kill him, I spank him hard” he then said.

Cassandra, for her part, assured that it is possible, according to her, to make her child understand that this is not a good thing, without violence and without shouting. But instead of firmly condemning this scourge, the former Miss Aquitaine made comments that shocked a large part of her audience.
“We don’t raise a hand against a child, bullying at school isn’t something crazy either…” she declared.

This response implying that school bullying was “not that serious” literally annoyed Internet users who rushed to let him know. Many people were disappointed to see her minimize the suffering of victims of harassment.

Le mea culpa de Cassandra

Faced with the scale of the controversy, the pretty 24-year-old blonde was forced to speak out to make her mea culpa. “Harassment is serious. I have suffered it and I know that many people who follow me suffer it or have suffered it, I am not laughing about that” she said.

“I think that at that moment when I was speaking, I was focused on a subject with Simon, where I did not agree, and I was not paying attention to what I was saying. I read, I understand you and I will never let my child suffer from school or other harassment, nor make him suffer. she then said.

Not enough to convince Internet users who continued to express their dissatisfaction in the comments of the publication.
