Becoming a pool star is not easy. Especially when we are not yet used to notoriety. Laure Manaudou was only 17 years old when she made her name and impressed the world in 2004 at the Athens Olympic Games.
At that time, she won the 400m freestyle, breaking the European record in 4’05”34. In the years that followed, Florent Manaudou’s sister became a real star and could no longer take a step in the street without being recognized or photographed.
And this emerging notoriety caused a lot of harm to Laure Manaudou. Indeed, in 2007, an ex-companion disclosed intimate photos of the swimmer without her consent. A very difficult period for the main interested party which she did not really wish to discuss with her brother.

In any case, this is what she revealed in an interview with Parisian Weekend. “I didn’t look for it. When the photos came out I was competing in a competition with Nico, who was my coach. I didn’t talk about it with him, nor with Florent, nor with our parents”, she explained.
Before giving the reason for this silence: “because I thought I was embarrassing them. I took refuge at home, alone and I closed myself off from the world”. But what did Florent Manaudou think of this story and how did he experience the situation? The swimmer, candidate for the next season of Dancing with the starsalso mentioned the affair in the columns of Parisian Weekend.
-“We never talked about it together, perhaps so as not to rub salt in the wound…”he explained before recognizing: “Actually, I don’t remember much about it. At the time I was 17, I was in high school, and I must have been quite protected by my friends because I don’t think I suffered from it.”
Subsequently, Laure Manaudou’s brother shared his reaction in the event that he had found himself in his sister’s place: “If this had happened to me, I would have gone to the ex in question, and that would not have been the right reaction.
