And Laeticia Hallyday, who had made the City of Angels a family haven of peace, was not spared. His house in the very chic Pacific Palisades neighborhood actually went up in smoke.
On site to see the damage, she reveals terrible images in a video immediately posted on her Instagram account. “There is nothing left (…) We have lost everything.”, she writes in the long text which accompanies her images.
“I saw our house go to ashes, helpless in the face of the flames that took everything away. This video haunts my heart. It was not just a house… It was our refuge, our rebirth after the chaos of mourning. ” It was in 2013 that the Hallyday couple chose to cross the Atlantic to not only live their American dream but above all to live a peaceful life and settle in a place, far from the French frenzy, to peacefully raise their two daughters Jade and Joy.

It sheltered our dreams, our secrets, our promises for tomorrow.” Believing to have lost “a part of [son] soul” in the flames, she sends a thought to the other victims of these devastating fires: “I think of my neighbors, of my friends of those who lost everything.” Before warmly thanking all those who sent her messages of comfort . “Thank you for your support. I don’t have the strength to respond to everyone yet, but please know that I am deeply grateful to you. You are a light in this darkness.”
