This Tuesday, January 7, 2025, Jean-Marie Le Pen died at the age of 96, in Garches in Hauts-de-Seine. A few hours after his death, Jany Le Pen, his widow, agreed to testify on BFMTV. And it is with great emotion that the second wife of the politician spoke of the death of her husband : “I feel very… not well. It’s very hard but I’m going to try to learn to live again without him, in our house that I love”she indicated. She then describes her husband as a man “with great finesse, great culture and full of humor and generosity towards people. He didn’t really harm anyone, he had ideas that were misunderstood, gestures that were misunderstood but he was a good, generous man”she said.

Jany Le Pen also talks about the very abrupt way in which Marine Le Pen learned of her father’s death: “The poor Marine found out on the plane but everyone is fine otherwise”she added. Indeed, the politician was on the plane that brought her back from Mayotte when she learned, through an AFP dispatch, that her father was dead.
