For Sarah Michelle Gellar, there's nothing magical about a marriage that lasts. You simply have to agree to put in the work, as she confided to Fox News Digital during a recent interview.
“I think everything takes work, whether it's a friendship, a professional relationship, or a marriage,” the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star explained. “You have to make an effort. And we live in a society where everything has become disposable. Your phone breaks, you don't fix it. You buy a new one. I think this has become the general attitude towards relationships. »
A well-oiled routine
For his part, Freddie Prinze Jr had already delivered his recipe for the longevity of his relationship in 2022. For the actor, three ingredients are essential: cooking, laughing, and cleaning. “My mother was a chef and I learned to cook. And I married someone who doesn’t know how to cook,” he jokes. “So I’m needed.” She needs me to live! »
The actor also added that he always made his wife laugh, while taking care of the dishes in parallel with the cooking, just to keep everything tidy. A method which seems to have proven itself since the couple, who met on the set of Remember… last summer in 2000, have been in perfect love since their marriage in 2002.
