It is in the role of the perfect Californian housewife in total Céline look that Meghan begins this new year. getty/watson

More “Entertainment”
The first clue fell on January 1, in the form of an Instagram reel. Meghan, flowing hair, flowing white shirt, bare feet, dazzling smile on a sandy Californian beach bathed in the cold winter light. It took that much poetry, freshness and spontaneity to initiate the thunderous return of the Duchess of Sussex on a social network – well, not too spontaneous either, since the video had to be replayed several times, judging by the number of “2025” already written in the sand.
This attempt was the right one.image: instagram
Meghan’s first private post in years. Specifically, since the decapitation of her lifestyle blog, “The Tig,” in 2017, upon joining the British royal family and marrying Prince Harry.
Meghan in the kitchen
It was only the beginning. The next day, January 2, 2025, the Duchess returns with the trailer for her latest series in partnership with Netflix: With Love, Meghan.
This time, it is as a perfect housewife that the former actress and princess, who has since converted to philanthropy, activism, entrepreneurship and interior design, improvises. A surprising turnaround in “tradwife” for this self-proclaimed feminist from the start, but so be it.
The promise of this new series made in the enchanted world of the Sussexes? Lots of joy and bursts of laughter, homemade dishes, Mimosas garnished with rosemary from the garden, inspiring floral decorations and organic vegetables lovingly stored in wicker baskets. “I always liked taking something quite ordinary and elevating it”intones the heroine as she pours olive oil over hummus.
More concretely, for her first solo series, Meghan will mix “practical advice” and “frank conversations with friends”, favoring “the playful side rather than perfection”, and highlighting “how easy it is to create beauty, even in the unexpected,” says a Netflix press release.
“She and her guests roll up their sleeves in the kitchen, garden and beyond, and invite you to do the same”

For the rest of us, proletarians, it will above all be an opportunity to discover the interior of the fabulous mansion in Montecito, California, in which the former royal couple has resided since their departure from the United Kingdom five years ago, and to drool over this fantastic little Gin and Tonic served on the terrace to his guests.

Judging by the trailer, Meghan can make everything from hummus to sponge cakes.
With Love will also be an opportunity for Meghan to appear in a natural environment, in a total couture look and sipping a freshly squeezed lemonade, surrounded by her prominent friends – Abigail Spencer, former actress of the series Suitsto cooking legend Alice Waters of At Panissethe California restaurant that started the “farm to table” movement.
Only one second of the trailer is dedicated to Prince Harry.netflix
To see if this pitch will convince the public more than Poloher husband’s latest Netflix series devoted to equestrian sport, which struggled to make its way into the platform’s top 10 last month.
However, we loved…
It would be better, since this new series should accompany the launch of American Riviera Orchard, Meghan’s lifestyle company, announced in March 2024 with a lot of jars of jam (an offensive that we told you about, here).
Either way, be prepared. Whether we adore her or whether she ruffles our feathers, this year 2025 will be under the sign of the Duchess of Sussex. But also crockery, nut butters, placemats and homemade jams.
(With Love, Meghan will be available on Netflix from January 15.)
