Michael Schumacher’s son makes rare revelation about his father

Eleven years ago, Michael Schumacher’s life took a dramatic turn following a skiing accident. The family of the former Formula 1 champion has always remained discreet about his state of health, but now his son, Mick, recently made a statement on the subject.

It was on December 29, 2013 that former Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher was seriously injured in a skiing accident in Méribel, Savoie.

When the racing driver’s head hit the edge of a rock, the impact was so intense that the helmet broke.

Over the past eleven years, many rumors have circulated about the driver’s state of health, but the former champion’s family has chosen not to speak about it publicly.

Mick Schumacher, Michael’s son, was 14 years old when the accident occurred. He was also present on the scene.

Mick Schumacher wants to follow in his father’s footsteps as a racing driver, but since his father is unable to walk and communicate with those around him, he cannot benefit from his advice: “Since the accident, well Of course, these experiences, these moments that I believe many people experience with their parents, are no longer present, or to a lesser extent. […] I think Dad and I would understand each other differently now. Quite simply because we speak a similar language, that of motorsport. »

The son of the Formula 1 champion confided that he would be ready to give up everything to rediscover the relationship he had with his father.

Remember that last November, the Motorsport media reported that following discussions with several teams including Alpine, Stake F1, Mercedes and Audi, the young Mick Schumacher, 25, was not able to find a team for the year 2025 in order to continue his automotive career in F1.
