Matt Pokora had his ups and downs, but he always got back up and remains one of the most popular French singers to this day. As he prepares to hit the road again for an event tour, Christina Milian’s companion remembers the years of hardship which forced him to review his lifestyle.
Matt Pokora began to tease his big comeback in 2025. The singer has completely deleted all his old publications on his Instagram account which brings together more than four million followers to publish last month the poster of a new tour baptized Adrenaline and which will begin on November 8 next year. “It’s our new adventure. And as usual we’re going to fill your eyes (important)… and lots of hearts (essential)”he wrote alongside a video published immediately, auguring yet another epic show. Around thirty dates were initially announced, scheduled across the four corners of the country and as far away as Belgium. Faced with the success at the box office, other performances have now been confirmed.

This new show will follow an album which could probably bear the same name and about which Matt Pokora is not saying much at the moment. Shortly before Christmas, he published some images captured during his recording to confirm that it was indeed finished. “This album is capital pop”he said at the same time, visibly proud of the work accomplished. Especially since the interpreter of Just a photo of you knows that it is expected given the semi-failure of his last album Epicenter. Published in 2022, this one did not sell as much as the previous ones, due to a lack of hits as powerful as on Pyramid (2019), as The planets or Fall.

A radical change of life to anticipate precariousness
With EpicenterIsaiah and Kenna’s dad chose a more raw, acoustic sound, and wanted to slow down the tempo a little to offer more walks and more introspective pieces. This is not the first time that the public has not responded so massively to one of his artistic proposals. He spoke about this as recently as November on the show Important Talk by Taylor Chiche, on his YouTube channel. “In 2008-2009, on my album in English, obviously there were no more sales”he recalled, before admitting that he had not put enough money aside during the first years of success to continue living the same way. “I’m starting to see the red coming financially. And at that moment, straight away, rather than having your ego I said, oh my, I feel it…”he added in all humility. Matt Pokora had decided to sell his car, before leaving his apartment for another, less expensive one. “I sold my apartment on which obviously I made a capital gain. I was in Paris 16th, I went to Suresnes“he said, in a rather chic suburb of the capital, in the Hauts-de-Seine department.

A little earlier this year, the companion of Christina Milian had made a similar speech about his financial health on the Six Seater Sofa by Léna Situations. “At that time, my album wasn’t doing well enough and the tour wasn’t fulfilling, I was anticipating and saying to myself: ‘I’m going to avoid keeping the same lifestyle’”he admitted, without losing sight of the fact that when “everything stops, we have to continue paying bills and taxes”. “I prefer have a little money aside to be able to bounce back“he concluded.

Subsequently, Matt Pokora left France to live in a sumptuous villa in the United States, where his partner is from. The couple and their two children recently made the choice to return to live in France, where the singer understood that it was essential not to put all his eggs in one basket.
