At 82, Michel Drucker remains an emblematic figure in the French audiovisual landscape. Host of the cult show Looking forward to Sunday on France 3, he continues to entertain millions of viewers every week. However, this Monday, December 16, 2024, the host had to be hospitalized urgently after experiencing worrying symptoms.
This is not the first time that Michel Drucker has faced health problems. In 2023, he had already gone through a difficult ordeal with infective endocarditis requiring heart surgery. This time again, the vigilance of the doctors and those around him enabled rapid treatment.
What happened?
According to information reported by Le FigaroMichel Drucker felt feverish a few days later having celebrated his birthday. Preferring not to take any risks, he contacted doctors at the Georges-Pompidou hospital in Paris, who recommended that he come immediately.
They carried out the usual examinations initially planned for the beginning of 2025.
The results of the analyzes were, however, reassuring. After a few hours under observation, the host was able to return to his home that same evening. His relatives, questioned by our colleagues, confirmed:
Michel Drucker is doing well and returned home the same evening.
A slightly disrupted schedule
Despite this encouraging news, this episode led to adjustments in the host's busy schedule. The filming of a number of Looking forward to Sundayhad to be postponedand Michel Drucker was forced to cancel his participation in the birthday of Liane Foly, who celebrated her 62nd birthday that same day.
Known for his inexhaustible energy, Michel Drucker has already proven that he knows how to bounce back from health problems. During a previous hospitalization, he had recounted with humor:
I stuffed myself with Doliprane to mask the fever and made the broadcast on radar. Miraculously, this was not seen.
Viewers can therefore be reassured: the emblematic host of the PAF seems ready to resume his activities very soon, faithful to his reputation as a hard worker!
