For his final date of his tour, Paul McCartney was joined on stage by Ringo Starr in London. The two Beatles notably played “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” to the public.
Part of the Beatles reunited in London. In concert in the British capital, Thursday December 19, Paul McCartney was joined on stage by his former sidekick Ringo Starr.
“I had a great night tonight, it was a great show,” said the former Beatles drummer as he arrived on stage. The duo then performed two cult songs from the group, Helter Skelter et Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
During the evening, Paul McCartney also welcomed Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood on stage to play the famous song with him Get Back.
Gathered several times
This is not the first time that Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney have been together on stage. Since the separation of the Beatles in 1969, the two artists have notably found themselves on McCartney’s Freshen Up tour in 2018-2019 or during Ringo Starr’s induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015.
This London concert was the final show of the tour Got Back by Paul McCartney, which debuted in October. The artist notably performed at Paris La Défense Arena last December, but also in Madrid and São Paulo, as well as at home in Manchester and at the O2.
