À la Rockhal: A dream casting in Luxembourg du Rire

The Place d’Armes is not yet Jemaa El-Fna and the Rockhal differs in every way from the El Badi Palace, but the Luxembourg of Laughter no longer has to be ashamed of its big brother in Marrakech. For the fifth edition of the comedy festival, Atou Dieng, CEO of Southside Production, did very well by bringing together Nawell Madani, Jarry, Bun Hay Mean, Nino Arial and Charly Nyobe, during the same evening, Saturday June 14 next.

“It’s the most beautiful stage in the history of humor in Luxembourg. There are only headliners,” he enthuses. Bringing together these superstars of the genre, used to filling theaters, is not always easy. But the boss of the sector in the Grand Duchy has mastered all the tricks, in order to convince the stars.

Still as popular after more than ten years of career, Nawell Madani should close the show. A big blow for Southside Production: “All of its dates are sold out. The public can expect new jokes, because there is a good chance that she will come and rehearse her 2026 show before the summer,” slips Atou Dieng.

Victim of its success, the Luxembourg du Rire will be held for the first time at the Rockhal, after four editions in Mondorf-les-Bains. A move upmarket synonymous with success which still causes a little pang in the heart of Atou Dieng: “Leaving Casino 2000 touches me. People like Christian Arend and Guido Berghmans opened the doors for me. Unfortunately, the place had become too small for such a poster to be profitable.

The new adventure begins for the festival with the sale of tickets this Friday.
