In an interview with JDD, the 32-year-old videographer returned to his supposed affinities for the National Rally, which have earned him a barrage of criticism on social networks for several years.

“Being labeled right-wing YouTuber for having defended values ​​such as love of the French flag or respect for the police is reductive,” proclaims Thibaud Delapart, his real name, to the weekly Tibo InShape. “Today, everything is becoming politicized, and some are trying to associate me with one camp or another. But that doesn’t affect me: I will remain true to my beliefs, regardless of outside interpretations. »

Last June, in an interview given to Brut shortly after the dissolution of the National Assembly, and therefore a few days before the early legislative elections, Tibo InShape confided that he considered himself “right-wing” but “human before All “. The day after the second round of these elections, he claimed to have voted for an Ensemble candidate.

“I wanted to clarify my position, because several parties, whether on the right or the left, were trying to recover my image,” explains the videographer to the JDD about his vote. “I wanted to avoid any ambiguity. Certainly, the National Rally defends certain values ​​close to mine, but not all. »

Although he wanted to clarify his report to the RN, France’s leading YouTuber, followed by more than 25 million people on the platform, did not mention membership in any party. “I think there is good and bad in each camp, left and right,” he assures. “I want to be transparent: I am not encouraging anyone to vote like me. Everyone is free to make their choices, and that is the strength of democracy. »
