It was in September 2023 that the young Émilien, then only 20 years old, made his very first appearance on the set of 12 shots of noon on TF1. A day already far away for the young Vendée who since then has never left his seat as midday master. With nearly 450 victories to his credit, the history student continues to mark the history of the program, sometimes revealing some rare secrets about his private life. But now, after so many appearances on television, the young man quickly became a well-known personality to the public. So much so that when he is not in the middle of recording, he often happens to be approached in the street by fans of the program. A notoriety with which he sometimes has difficulty and concerning which he provided ample details on December 16.
Emilien (12 shots of noon) embarrassed by his notoriety: “It’s very strange to see each other”
In the broadcast of December 16, Jean-Luc Reichmann took a long look at his midday master and in particular on how the latter manages his sudden notoriety. “We’re on the front page of all the newspapers now… How does it feel to be on the covers like that?” he asked. A question which the main person concerned did not shy away from since he quickly admitted that he was not particularly very comfortable with it. “I dodge the kiosks, because it’s very strange to see each other“, he noted, before going into details: “I avoid all that, overall. It always feels really weird to me. I’m not comfortable with everything that involves photos and all that, but for everything we did together, I was reassured that you were there anyway.“Despite this tender confidence, the host will probably not always be at his side…
Emilien (12 shots of noon): this moment when he became aware of his notoriety
Last May, still during 12 coups de midi, Émilien shared some confidences about the attention that viewers have been paying him for more than a year. “It’s true that I am becoming more and more recognized. It still feels so weird“, he initially admitted. But according to him, it was during an evening spent in the company of Jean-Luc Reichmann that he really became aware of his notoriety. “The moment when it stood out to me the most and was funny was the moment when you very kindly invited me to the theater and there were a lot of spectators and viewers of 12 Coups de Midon“, he remembered. Before continuing: “It was a bit crazy! It was very weird to be there, watching the show and seeing people taking pictures of me.” A moment that the master of midday has probably not forgotten.
