On October 31, Patrick Sébastien decided to tell his story differently, through the pages of a book entitled The Carnival of the Ambitious. There he writes down on paper the memories that have marked him the most or even anecdotes that have been unspoken until today. Pascal Praud also wanted to make him react to one of them this Tuesday, December 3 in his show Pro Hour while he received it. It's a story that dates back to the 1980s and concerns a woman with whom he spent a night and who was at the same time dating a major politician.
“I have two or three questions to ask you and in particular about this woman… come on, I'll read it right away: 'One evening in the provinces, at the beginning of the 80s, a committed singer revealed to me, after a night of 'passionate exchanges:'François Mitterrand is my lover. She even showed me her letters, her writing jewels imbued with passion, each word seemed crafted to touch the soul. She adds with disarming intensity: I prefer to die for them (the letters, editor’s note) what to live without. Many years later, upon meeting François, I couldn't help but wonder if it had been common that I had been one of his one-night rivals but in his gardens I felt that he had the makings of a man forged by his secrets and his passions“, read Pascal Praud. But then, who is this mysterious woman? Words and tight-lipped, Patrick Sébastien “is not a scale” as he points out in response to the CNews host.
A woman that François Mitterrand loved very much
And for the father of three children to simply recognize him: “She was a wonderful person, a remarkable artist, a thousand miles from me, a communist, an activist and whom François Mitterrand loved very much.“It is with great respect that Patrick Sébastien wanted to make a place for him in his book, as well as for the former president of France, who died in 1996 and an unsuspected romantic.”I definitely don't want to tarnish her memory but her letters were magnificent and I asked 'but why are you keeping them' and she told me 'I'd rather die for them than live without them', I found that very beautiful“, he concluded on the subject.
