After the conviction of Pierre Palmade, the courts wish to incarcerate the comedian before Christmas, in Bordeaux, reported RTL.
On Wednesday, November 20, Pierre Palmade was sentenced to five years in prison, two of which were closed, almost two years after his violent road accident under drugs. The judge then indicated that the comedian would be summoned “within a month” by the Bordeaux public prosecutor's office. According to information from RTL, he has a meeting before the holidays with a magistrate from the Bordeaux public prosecutor's office to organize his incarceration.
Pierre Palmade will be incarcerated at the Bordeaux-Gradignan penitentiary center, close to where he lives. The comedian would therefore spend Christmas in prison. However, he could negotiate a date of incarceration after the holidays with the magistrate.
The comedian may request a sentence adjustment
Once incarcerated, Pierre Palmade will be able to make a request for a reduced sentence. A sentencing judge will choose whether or not to grant this request, after an adversarial hearing.
The Melun court found Pierre Palmade guilty of involuntary injury to a family in the collision he caused on a road in Seine-et-Marne on February 10, 2023, while driving under the influence of drugs. Three people were seriously injured: a 38-year-old man, his six-year-old son and his 27-year-old sister-in-law, who lost the baby she was expecting after the collision.
