The Guardian of the Crown and Princess Elena visit a British school in Bucharest

On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, Her Majesty Margareta, Guardian of the Crown of Romania, visited a British school in Bucharest with her younger sister, Princess Elena. Princess Elena, who lives in Easington, County Durham, frequently attends official UK-related royal family engagements.

The eldest daughter and second daughter of King Michael I visited Cambridge School to learn more about the school's philosophy and values. “We benefit from a diverse student body”explains the school. “We accept students from all over the world and warmly welcome them into our caring community.”

Margareta and Elena from Romania were welcomed by the school management and a group of students. They then visited the school's classrooms and laboratories. In a classroom, the two sisters read a story to the students. The visit ended with a meeting with management, teaching staff and student representatives. Before leaving the premises, the Guardian of the Crown planted a tree in memory of King Michael I.
