Life as a star isn't always easy to manage, and Kev Adams can attest to that. The year 2024 has been complicated for the comedian.
The Fridge Comedy Club, the new favorite place for humor and stand-up in Brussels, opens its doors today. A project dear to Kev Adams, who is its founder. Proud of this new adventure, the actor gave an interview to Ciné Télé Revue to talk about it. The opportunity for him to reveal behind the scenes of this unique club. “I already opened the Fridge in Paris four years ago. We had the chance to become one of the most essential comedy clubs in the French capital, to reveal numerous talents and to also welcome dozens of comedy stars.“, he confided.
A new project for Kev Adams
“Given the growth of comedy clubs at the moment almost everywhere, including in Brussels, where we were not expected, it was an opportunity to continue our momentum. I have the impression that we are moving towards an American model where there are comedy clubs almost everywhere. There are as many as there are cinemas. So I wanted to create a chain of comedy clubs“, added Kev Adams who, thanks to his comedy club, intends to offer “a real exhibition” to “young Belgian comedians” which, according to him, do not always meet with the same success beyond their borders.
The actor filming in Morocco
Kev Adams is on all fronts. As his Fridge Comedy Club project prepares to come to life, he is currently in Morocco, where he is filming the film Hadara, the wild child of the desert by Gilles de Maistre. A feature film “adapted from the true story of a child who was practically raised by animals in the desert.” With such a busy schedule, it is not surprising that the comedian had some moments of fatigue. Last January, while he was promoting the second part of Retirement homehe also had to be urgently hospitalized due to “aggravated appendicitis“.
Health concerns now behind him
“Unfortunately, a little health problem took over. I was happy to meet you for this film that I love. But I leave you in good hands with a crazy cast! It's only a postponement, I'm sure. I kiss you and don't worry, everything is fine“, he indicated in particular. Comments relayed by Paris Match. On the networks, he also appeared “mega low” before reassuring his fans and thanking them for their support. Today, everything is going well!
