Philippe Katerine opted for transparency. In the columns of Madame Figaro this Friday, November 29, he answered many questions regarding his daily life. One of them concerns a “subject that pisses him off” and it was without hesitation that the comedian declared: money. However, in a very specific context, as he explains. “I feel uncomfortable when people talk about money” , he said before adding: “This comes from my childhood: my father often did it for reasons that were his own, but which I do not share”. Unlike his father, Philippe Katerine does not wish to approach him.

Philippe Katerine specifies that, when the subject of money is mentioned during a meal, he prefers to leave the table rather than stay. If revealing his income is not a problem for him, the comedian seems to believe that meals are not made to discuss such complex subjects. For some, money can be a source of problems or even anxiety and Philippe Katerine prefers to avoid talking about it openly.
A choice that those close to him seem to respect and that the comedian applies to the letter.

Philippe Katerine: “I don’t know how much the others won”

Money is not a taboo subject for Philippe Katerine. If he prefers to avoid mentioning it when he is at the table, he does not hesitate to do so during interviews. His performance during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games was very noted since it was during the festivities table that he appeared. In an interview given to

Regardless of the amount he received, the comedian did not want to refuse such an opportunity. As a reminder, he had performed on a table whose image was compared to The Last Supper, a painting by Leonardo da Vinci. A moment which was the subject of strong criticism.

Philippe Katerine: an artist happy in his life?

During this interview, Philippe Katerine opted for transparency. He particularly spoke about his daily life, saying he was very happy. “I am so much so that it’s almost shameful,” he confided. The comedian then specifies that he came to his first love. “Painting, drawing and collages because, when I started, I studied visual arts at the University of he says. Philippe Katerine also specifies having put together an exhibition entitled Cuteness which started at Le Bon Marché and is now in China. “I am not a full-time musician: I like personalities like those of Jean-Paul Belmondo, who slipped into a multitude of characters”, he concluded.
