On the boards in A delicate situation at the Théâtre des Nouveautés, with Gérard Darmon, Elsa Rozenknop and Max Boublil, she discusses her vision of the stage, her motherhood and her personal commitment.
Guest of the show “Conversations”, actress Clotilde Courau is currently playing in the play A delicate situation (1). She returns to her conception of theater in the age of social networks, where “we return to life and pure emotion”. The one for whom “filmed theater is never up to what we experience while being on stage and with the audience” appreciates “the living, the power of emotion, the exchange, the connection”, because “this energy that circulates, this power of the moment that we all experience together, it’s absolutely magical.”
Engagement et transmission
In front of a photo taken with her two daughters, the actress also spoke about her questions about what she should pass on to her children. “I started thinking about the meaning of inheritance,” she explains. With her motherhood, she also says she “went through a long period”, which allowed her to question “about (her) deep faith in this profession, (her) passion”. An acting career that takes the form of a real commitment. “I can't live disengaged, it's a question of faith, it's a question of passion, it's a question of life,” she says. The actress will also be appearing in The Truth by Florian Zeller at the Édouard VII theater from January 23, 2025.
