The day Line Renaud opened up about her biggest regret: “I wouldn’t have had the same career”

Line Renaud is not one of the French people’s favorite personalities for nothing. The native of Nieppe, in the North, may be celebrating her 96th birthday this Tuesday, July 2, but her illustrious past has not aged a bit. In nearly 80 years of careerthe singer, actress and revue leader has appeared in more than 80 films (84 to be precise), offered 25 albums to her fans and she has also made the theater scene vibrate with no less than 12 plays. Her political and, above all, humanitarian commitments have proven over time that she does not mince her words and that she has always assumed what she thinks. This has allowed her to live without regrets… or almost.

Line Renaud talks about her death: “When people suffer too much, it has to be cut short”

In an interview last year with GalaLine Renaud returned to what upsets her the most today.I regret not having had children”she confided with fatality. Unfortunately, her schedule never allowed her to experience motherhood. It would have been inconceivable for me not to take care of this child, to entrust him to a nanny and, in that case, I would not have had the same career. But that remains my greatest regret.” In 2013, she revealed in the book “Et mes secrets aussi” that she had an abortion when she was only 18 years old. Subsequently, Jacqueline Ente, her real name, wanted to adopt a baby but Loulou Gasté has always refused.
