Jacques Doillon and Benoît Jacquot are taken into police custody
On Monday, July 1, 2024, after being heard by investigators, the two directors were taken into custody. According to AFP, lawyer Julia Minkowski assured that Benoît Jacquot would “finally being able to speak before the courts“ before reporting police custody

Maître Marie Dosé, lawyer for Jacques Doillon, indicated that no “legal criteria cannot justify this measure”. In a press release, it specified that its client
“should have been heard in the context of a free hearing in view of the age of the facts, their statute of limitations acquired for more than two decades and the inevitable dismissal without further action which will close this investigation”.
