Last October, Sophie Tapie announced with great joy that she was pregnant with her second child, fruits of his love with Baptiste Germain, 12 years his junior.
“We wanted children close together, so it was natural to have a second. We thought we would try to have one at the beginning of 2025 and then it happened earlier. Three months ago, we learned that Sophie was pregnant. It was intended, but unexpected. You have to believe that we are both connected. Our two children will be a year apart.” indicated the rugby player to our colleagues from Gala.
Sophie Tapie and Baptiste Germain don't care about their age difference
So, even with an age difference that some will consider significant, the two lovebirds are very much in love. Baptiste Germain also confides in the gap between him and his wife:
“We talked about it, but we closed it very quickly. It was just a number“, he says.
“I left young to play rugby, I hang out with older men who are already fathers of families, so I think I have acquired a certain maturity. The gap was not felt. Mbut it amuses us when his friends talk about certain references that I don't have. Our age difference is more of a strength than anything else”continues the sportsman, very much in love.
The two lovebirds very much in love
Thus, it is between Paris and the Côte d'Azur that the two lovers live today. Married and soon to be parents of two children, Sophie Tapie and Baptiste Germain are very happy: “At the start, I lived in Biarritz, she shared her life between Paris and the Côte d'Azur. We are very close, we didn't see each other enough for our liking, so we lived together very quickly. And then came the question of starting a family…”, explains the rugby player.
“I was amazed by these players who were reunited with their children at the end of the match. I always imagined myself becoming a father between the ages of 23 and 25. I knew I could manage. At first, Sophie didn't want it, I must believe that I ended up convincing her. Her mother got her late, she didn't want to waste time.”
