Back in the spotlight with “Panorama”, a musically accomplished album which has found its audience, Christophe Willem is relishing it. With now twenty years of career under his belt, the native of Enghien-les-Bains has had time to amass his share of anecdotes about showbiz and behind the scenes. And in particular about a rather frontal flirtation with a certain Pierre Palmade!
He has had his ups and downs, like any artist, but it is indeed more popular than ever that Christophe Willem is approaching the 20-year career mark. A real success for the man who was revealed in 2005 in the TV show “Nouvelle Star”, and who took a long time before assuming who he really was in the eyes of the whole world.
Like any celebrity who has two decades under his belt in showbiz, the interpreter of “Double Je” obviously has no shortage of anecdotes. And for anyone who admits that he wouldn’t have been able to flirt with a celebrity, it’s Pierre Palmade’s fairly clear approach that stands out! As a reminder, both men are openly homosexual, which, fortunately, no longer has to be hidden today unlike at the start of their respective careers.

Interviewed by Télé-Loisirs in 2015, therefore obviously well before Palmade’s legal troubles, Christophe Willem confided:
During my first tour, I arrived in my dressing room, and there I saw a gigantic bouquet of roses! Something huge! I was excited, asking myself, “Who’s sending me roses?” » (laughs)

It said, “With all due respect to your work. I really like you and I find you very attractive.” Honestly, it wasn’t the most in-your-face thing. But I thought it was really cute.
Now, whenever I see it, it’s become a joke. I found it quite funny!
Obviously, this rather light anecdote now comes up against much more sordid news: the serious accident caused by Pierre Palmade under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Recluse in the Bordeaux region while awaiting his trial, the comedian is no longer interested in flirting and conquests, but rather in avoiding, if he succeeds, spending time in prison.
For his part, Christophe Willem has chosen to be generally discreet about his private life, although it is subject to numerous fantasies throughout his career. One thing is certain: the man who has long been nicknamed “The Turtle” feels better than ever in his head, and, with his newfound success, he is eager to continue to surprise and delight his audience.
Before the scandal broke and Pierre Palmade’s problems came to light, many stars enjoyed the company of this man who was certainly tortured, but fundamentally not evil. Christophe Willem was thus flattered by the interest shown in him by the comedian, even if, obviously, nothing had gone further!
