MUSIC – There is no age to appreciate music, a young festival-goer has proven it again. Like every year, the Glastonbury music festival attracts a particularly large crowd to come and enjoy the concerts of the biggest stars. Dua Lipa, Coldplay, Janelle Monáe, Camilla Cabello, Justice… There’s never a shortage of big names.

Solidays opens its doors, and the festival ticket office still has tickets for sale

However, this year, the star was not on stage but right in front. As reported by the British media Metroa 10-week-old toddler has become the star of the famous festival which takes place in England from June 26 to 30.

“What a little legend”

It all started when the artist Annie Mac performed this Friday, June 28. For a brief moment, the screens projected the images of this very young boy, Finlay. Held at arm’s length by his two parents, Rosie and Tom, the little one was celebrated like a rock star by the audience, almost as surprised as the two parents to see the child welcomed with such fervor.

A detail that did not escape Annie Mac, who allowed herself to slip in a word about it between two pieces. Oh my God, this baby, what a little legend “, she blurted, while Finlay appeared once again on the giant screens. A beginning of “ legend » which was also greatly helped by the production of the concert, which did not hesitate to use visual effects to make this moment even more memorable.

It must be said that with his striped jumpsuit and yellow helmet on his head, it’s hard not to make the young child the new mascot of Glastonbury. At the end of his concert, the Irish DJ also sent him personalized thanks.

There, a little by chance

With the PA agency, Finlay’s parents shared their surprise and joy at having experienced this unique moment in the company of their very young boy. And one of their first reactions was to affirm that this moment “ will probably be broadcast at his wedding ».

« (Finlay) loved music so we thought by putting him on my shoulders he would just enjoy the vibe and then he went on the big screen and got big cheers, it was amazing “, Tom responded.

For her part, Rosie revealed how the little family ended up at Glastonbury this year. A slightly random presence since she explained that she had won a competition organized by the newspaper The Guardian, where it was simply necessary to “ nominate a friend you thought was worthy of winning spots ” So it was only natural that she had written down Tom’s name.

When inevitably asked about the presence of a child in this slightly noisy musical setting, they only advised other parents tempted by the experience to ” take more diapers than you think you need ».

« Do it, otherwise you may overthink it and it may discourage you. “, they added, visibly delighted with the experience. And for those who are most reluctant to take a child to a festival, rest assured, the Annie Mac concert was scheduled from 11:30 to 12:30 this Friday. It therefore ended in time for a well-deserved lunch and nap for young Finley.
