Absent from AEW since March 2024, the return of Ricky Starks is still awaited.
There have been several rumors or reports internally regarding Ricky Starks' future. Some mentioned an injury that prevented him from fighting and others mentioned a possible end of contract and a future in WWE.
Regardless, Ricky Starks has made the decision to make a comeback, but on the independent scene. Indeed, Ricky Starks made a return to Glory Pro Wrestling last October to attack wrestler Sean Login and organize a match against Kody Lane for the November 24, 2024 show.
And today, the House of Glory announced the debut of Ricky Starks in its company on January 17, 2025 for the show in Chicago.
Ricky Starks is still under contract with AEW despite his long absence and appearances on the independent scene. This match scheduled for November 24 also confirms that he is not injured. It now remains to be seen whether Tony Khan will reinstate Ricky Starks on AEW programs or not.
