Emmanuel Macron announced Tuesday, November 19 that he would invite Donald Trump and Elon Musk to the summit on artificial intelligence, scheduled for February in France.
“Like other great entrepreneurs”, Elon Musk should not wait long to receive his invitation to the artificial intelligence summit, which will take place in France on February 10 and 11, 2025. In any case, that is what Emmanuel Macron told the press on Tuesday, November 19, specifying that he had also invited China, the United States (therefore Donald Trump) and “the major countries that are involved”. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already confirmed his arrival.
“I will also have the opportunity to receive on December 6 a group of American entrepreneurs and academics who are involved in this subject,” added Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Rio de Janeiro, without specifying who was on the guest list. A project which is part of the desire, announced at the start of the year, of the Head of State to “make France an undisputed leader in AI”.

For better regulation of AI
The position of Elon Musk, big boss of Tesla, SpaceX and X, is quite ambivalent on artificial intelligence. At the same time, the billionaire of South African origin uses AI for his autonomous cars, taxis and other robots and at the same time, he has a very alarming vision of AI, considering this technology as “a real threat to humanity” and calling for greater regulation. The American magazine “Harris Beach” also recalls that Elon Musk recently expressed the wish to see “a regulatory body established to supervise AI to ensure that it does not present a danger to the public” . A wish that should be heard by Donald Trump, to whom he is increasingly close.
