On the occasion of the 15the anniversary of Michael Jackson’s death, his son Prince, as well as other members of his family, paid tribute to his memory on Instagram on Tuesday, June 25.

It’s already been 15 years since the pop star passed away. On June 25, 2009, the 50-year-old singer died of a drug overdose while preparing for a concert tour in London. Last Tuesday, many people paid tribute to Michael Jackson, starting with his son Prince Michael Jackson I, who was 12 years old when his father died.

The 27-year-old posted a photo in his Instagram story of his father at the Super Bowl XXVII Halftime Show in 1993, on the soundtrack of the recording of “We Are the World”. “I miss you dad. The world was a better place when you were part of it,” he said.

Other members of his family also shared their emotion, including his two older brothers Tito (70) and Jackie (73), former member of the Jackson 5. In the caption of their post, they said: “Hard to believe it’s been 15 years since you were last with us. We miss you every day.”

La Toya Jackson (68 years old) also published a video which traces the life of her brother. In description, Michael Jackson’s sister says: “You changed the world with such overflowing talent in so many ways!!! We love you ! We will always miss you! I miss you and I will always love you.”

Touching messages from his family members that moved the pop star’s fans in the comments. The latter, from April 2025, will be able to see the Michael Jackson biopic in their cinemas. Indeed, Jaafar Jackson, son of Jermaine Jackson (69 years old) and nephew of Michael Jackson, will play his uncle in the biopic Michael, signed Antoine Fuqua.
