Jean-Charles Clichet is of the caliber of those actors whose appearances, however brief they may be, bring a different color, and therefore a little contrast, to the story that unfolds before our eyes. From his youthful passion for the one-man shows of Elie Semoun and Gad Elmaleh to his first steps at Cours Florent, he maintains a sense of rhythm and originality. After training at the TNS – Théâtre National de Strasbourg, he immediately joined the production of Gertrude (Le Cri)by Howard Barker, directed by Giorgio Barberio Corsetti at the Théâtre de l’Odéon in 2009. But it is with Christophe Honoré, who trusts him, both in the theater (Angelo, tyrant of Padua, New Roman, End of the story, The Idols…) than at the cinema (Well love, Sophie’s misfortune) that the young actor explodes. Passed by the memorable production of Vincent Macaigne, Hamlet, At least I will have left a beautiful corpse, who ignited the Avignon Festival in 2011, Jean-Charles Clichet joined another theater family, that of Frédéric Bélier-Garcia with whom he collaborated on five occasions. In the cinema, he must start with small roles before getting noticed until he obtains a first main role. It will be in Come, I will take you there by Alain Guiraudie (2020). If television is also interested in him – no one has forgotten his revival of Dalida in the first season ofARIES(S) – it’s at the cinema that we have the chance to meet him this year.

After Waiting for the night by Céline Rouzet, released on June 5, Jean-Charles Clichet will be on the bill for Barbarians by Julie Delpy, in theaters September 18. There are great opportunities to return, for a long-term interview, to his artistic practice and the roles that have made his career.

In a great show of solidarity, they enthusiastically agreed to vote to welcome Ukrainian refugees. Except that the refugees who arrive are not Ukrainian… but Syrian! Sound of the day: “Life” by Jamie XX (feat. Robyn)

Here’s a long-awaited return! That of London producer and DJ Jamie XX. The third member of the trio The XX, flagship of the minimalist rock avant-garde of the 2010s, announces a second solo album, In Waveswhich is expected to be released on September 20. Its predecessor, In Colourwidely acclaimed by critics, was released almost ten years ago. But where the latter drew on soul, hip-hop, and UK garage, In Waves will pay a more emphatic and hard-hitting tribute to club culture, with twelve rhythmic tracks that undulate from house to acid and trance. In the meantime, a few tracks are already available. This is the case for “Life”, a dance cocktail, for which the composer surrounded himself with the Swedish diva Robyn. Enough to keep you going until what could well be one of the albums of the new school year. It’s our sound of the day!
