The fight against illness never stops for Christina Applegate. The American actress, revealed by the cult series Married, two childrenrevealed that her daughter Sadie, aged 13, suffers from postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (STOP in French, POTS in English). A new challenge for the 51-year-old actress, diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2021, explains Page Six. During an episode of his podcast MeSsyco-hosted with Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Christina Applegate gave the floor to her daughter. Sadie explained that she had been living with STOP for some time, feeling discomfort and dizziness following changes in position. These discomforts were so frequent thatthey caused her to leave her sixth grade classes on numerous occasions to get to the infirmary.
“You do this to avoid going to class.”
“They told me: ‘You do this to avoid going to class. It’s probably anxiety. Go back to class“, confided Sadie. These hurtful words and the lack of support were difficult for the teenager to live with. “Their failure to do anything only hurt me physically and emotionally. Because I was like, ‘This is rude and I feel bad, and you’re telling me to go to the gym and do laps of the soccer field. I can not do that’“, she added.
