In recent days, the windows of businesses in Longué have started to be decorated in Christmas mode thanks to the involvement of the City, represented by Marie-Thérèse Delaunay, deputy in charge of housing, and the painter now from Longué, Renaud Hadef.
This is a personal initiative of Renaud Hadef, painter, living at a place called Lanove in Longué following experience acquired in 1990 on certain windows in the town of Saumur and a partnership with the town and traders for a measured financial involvement, enabling this great cultural operation.
As a reminder, Renaud Hadef is a self-taught painter, passionate about sailing, motorbikes and horse riding. During the second half of January, it is the artist himself who will be responsible for restoring the windows that have become paintings to their original condition.
“I plan to create a painting school”
For the pleasure of the eyes, and thanks to the involvement of the merchants who agreed to participate in this window illumination operation, it will be more pleasant for everyone to walk through the city to discover and admire these paintings/windows. .
CE2 and CM1 grades from both public and private schools will be able to come and admire the different paintings on display at the Cube during the exhibition from December 2 to 7. For Jumelles schoolchildren, it is the painter who will come with a few paintings.
With the help of participants, a raffle will be organized to reward a lucky customer.
I am happy with this first time in Longué and I have the plan, in the long term, to create a painting school in the town, but one day at a time,”
says Renaud Hadef.
