Anne Hathaway and her son almost got hit during a basketball game

Anne Hathaway's night at the NBA game on Wednesday, November 13 took an unexpected turn when she and her son were almost run over by a player from the team they were supporting.

More fear than harm. Anne Hathaway and her son Jack experienced a big scare while attending a basketball game at Madison Square Garden, when a player almost hit them violently.

In a video posted on social networks, we see the actress and her five-year-old child, who came to attend, in the front row, the match between the New York Knicks and the Chicago Bulls. During the action, Ogugua “OG” Anunoby lost control of the ball and, while trying to catch it, collided with a barrier, narrowly missing falling on them. Jack's popcorn flew into the air, but luckily they both remained unharmed.

“Anunoby scares those on the sidelines,” one of the match commentators said with a laugh, while his colleague added: “The little boy was hypnotized. He couldn't move anymore. Cameras then showed Anne Hathaway comforting her son by gently rubbing his back. “He’s not happy about the popcorn being knocked over, that’s for sure,” the commentator said of Jack.

This outing to the basketball game marks a rare public appearance for the Oscar-winning actress with her children, whom she usually shields from media attention. Anne Hathaway and her husband, Adam Shulman, married since 2012, have two sons: Jonathan, born in 2016, and Jack, who expanded the family three years later, in 2019.

In July, the star had already shared a special moment with her eldest son by taking him to a Taylor Swift concert in Germany. From the VIP section, the actress exchanged friendship bracelets with other fans, and Jonathan even handed out bags of goodies and bottles of water to nearby spectators.
