People: Millionaire at 20, Eve Angeli says she's not rolling in gold

“I have a house, a roof over my head. I can take trips from time to time. (…) But I’m not rolling in gold.” Invited on the set of “Face à Hanouna”, the weekend version of “Touche pas à mon poste”, Saturday November 9, 2024, Eve Angeli assured that she had a decent lifestyle, nothing more. And this, when she was a millionaire at just 20 years old. “But it was in francs,” confided the singer.

Revealed by the telecrochet “Graines de star”, in 1999, the former reality candidate notably mentioned her salary during her participation in “La Ferme celebrities”, in 2004: around 10,000 euros per week. “The longer we stayed, the more we gained,” admitted the young mother, who gave birth to a little girl named Lilirose, at the end of 2022. Despite this more than comfortable cachet, the experience left her with a bitter taste. “It was constant anxiety. I felt like I was in prison.”

Eve Angeli, who sold 1.5 million records during her career, explained that she lost a lot of money when she separated from her partner, Michel, in 2015, after 17 years of relationship. “I had just paid off my house, but had to sell it quickly. Now, I have credit, but I have enough to pay it off,” she told Gilles Verdez, who questioned her insistently about her income.

The stubbornness of Cyril Hanouna's columnist exasperated many Internet users, who denounced his “violent questions” and his “impolite” and “indecent” attitude. “Verdez is annoying, the money she earned, she didn't steal it, so leave her alone”, “How much, how much! It’s cumbersome to insist,” we can read in particular on X.
