“It’s true that I am a fairly discreet person and it would not have spontaneously occurred to me to speak in front of the whole of France.. But we were told it would be nice to have someone from the family give a speech. Those around me didn’t feel it at all. Me neither, by the way, but for them I was the one who would be the least uncomfortable. I said these words out of love for my grandfather and for my family“, he explained.
It’s true that Victor Belmondo has always been very close to his grandfather. “We were very close. The one you see in the movie was the same one at home. As a child, I had more fun with my grandfather than with my friends“, explained the 30-year-old actor who learned a lot about his profession alongside Jean-Paul Belmondo.
