In a message published Friday evening on social networks, Prince William’s wife gives news of his health for the first time since the announcement of his illness in a video at the end of March.

The one that everyone considers to be the glamorous asset of the royal family, who has not been seen in public since Christmas, appeared tired after weeks of silence which had fueled speculation.

“I’m making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad days,” Kate, 42, wrote in the post, alongside a photo taken earlier this week in Windsor according to his services.

“My treatment is ongoing and will continue for several months,” she adds.

“I am looking forward to attending the King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to be able to take part in some public engagements this summer, although I know I am not out of the woods yet,” she announces again.

“Kate Middleton may never return to the role people knew her in”

Appearance on the balcony?

Shortly before her cancer became official, a photo of the princess with her children published on social networks sparked controversy.

This photo was unpublished by the main world news agencies, including AFP, because it had been digitally manipulated, reigniting speculation about the state of health of the princess, despite her written apology published by the palace in the process.

Kensington Palace, however, has never communicated about Kate’s health and we also do not know what type of cancer she is suffering from.

During some of his public engagements, Prince William has also remained laconic, for example contenting himself with asserting in mid-May that she was “doing well” during a visit to the Scilly Islands off the south -west of England.

In her message, Kate does not specify how she plans to participate in the king’s birthday ceremony, which traditionally takes place in June, even though his birthday is in November.

She does not say whether she will be alongside members of the royal family for the traditional appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

This year, Charles III, also suffering from cancer, will participate in the military parade of “Salute to the colors” (“Trooping the color”) aboard a carriage and not on horseback like last year, recently specified the palace.

Charles resumed his public activities at the end of April, for example going to France at the beginning of June with Queen Camilla for the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the landing in Normandy.
