For several years now, this team of merry men has been meeting on stage to exchange ever more humorous and scabrous lines. This time, they are gathered for a very special occasion, the tenth edition of the Impossible Duets by Jérémy Ferraribroadcast Wednesday November 20, 2024 at 9 p.m. on Canal+. On this occasion, Baptiste Lecaplain, Arnaud Tsamere and Jérémy Ferrari, who are also preparing La Tournée du Trio from January 2025 throughout France, agreed to speak to Tele-Leisure. During this interview, during which they mixed their voices, they spoke about their collaboration, which has lasted for several years already, as well as their friendship, both in the city and on stage. And they didn't pull any punches!
Arnaud Tsamere on his collaboration with Jérémy Ferrari and Baptiste Lecaplain: “He trusted us”
“This is exacerbated in the show. But there are things that make them laugh and me not too much, or that I find too absurd, too gratuitous, or not structured enough.” In the tenth edition of his show, Jérémy Ferrari left the field open to his two comrades to give the evening a birthday tone. The duo multiplies jokes and gags, costumes and disasters, while winking at their friend Guillaume Bats, who died in 2023. But all their artistic choices do not always please the third of the gang, who still allowed their creativity to express themselves. “Typically, in this edition, the hostage situation made us laugh so much but he didn’t really understand. He trusted us”explains Arnaud Tsamere. And Ferrari added: “I told them: 'Are you sure? Because I don't find it funny'. But since they are convinced and people are dying of laughter, I bow. It's the same for Le Trio: when I I wrote a show, I did two and a half years of research, I met political scientists, experts in all fields. Sometimes, what we wrote was nonsense. say 'we're going on a Zénith tour with that' [rires]”. However, it is these disparities in the humor of the three men that make the recipe work. And also because they are true.
Why did Arnaud Tsamere, Baptiste Lecaplain and Jérémy Ferrari choose to make sketches about their private lives in THE Impossible Duos 10 ?
In THE Impossible Duos 10Arnaud Tsamere launches into an interminable monologue to mock the alcoholism and suicide attempt of Jérémy Ferrari. Baptiste Lecaplain is regularly singled out for his career “failed” in the cinema and Tsamère for her difficult divorce. Moments of vulnerability which, if we laugh at them, offer privileged access to the intimacy of the three comedians. “I'm making fun of myself, Jérémy Ferrari explains to us. You cannot make fun of others and not yourself. This is the best example. Baptiste and Arnaud say that I told all that to relaunch my career, make fun of me because I went to cry on the set of Seven to Eight. They take sincere, hard moments from my life to make fun of me. You shouldn't take anything seriously.”. And besides, everyone gets what they deserve, and this is intended to continue in their writing. “It’s nothing compared to the Trio show. After certain writing sessions, we had to call each other saying that we didn’t mean what we said”admits Baptiste Lecaplain. But it seems that of the three, he was not the most affected. “I remember a writing session where we started to gossip about Arnaud about his relationship, I went very far away, Baptiste too, Jérémy Ferrari tells us. Arnaud no longer laughed. We told him that if it hurts him, let it go, and he replied: 'no because it's funny'”. Obviously, this way of functioning is their therapy, their outlet. “We also show people that they shouldn’t hesitate to go there, life is short”concludes Baptiste Lecaplain.
