The very dynamic Quercy images association, chaired by Bernadette Labattut, is preparing its seventeenth edition of the Photographic Autumn which will take place in the Flaugnac village hall on November 9, 10 and 11. Although we deplore the absence of some members due to health problems, new photographers have come to strengthen the group. During their recent monthly meeting for a technical work session, the members of the association, as enthusiastic as ever, presented the themes they chose to address for this new event. The diversity dear to the entire team will offer visitors a surprising vision of the Olympic Games in Cahors. Still in Cahors, we will take a look at the Grand Palais, then the themes will range from vineyards and gardens to poppies and Quercy crosses, and, more technical, geometric contrasts in black and white and fake news to trips to the seaside, to Marseille, Paris and Spain. In short, each participant will bring their touch of inventiveness and originality to their favorite theme. Surprise guests whose identity is currently being kept secret are expected. The opening, which always attracts a lot of people and curious people, will take place on Saturday November 9 from 6 p.m. Opening hours throughout the weekend: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Still as part of the photographic autumn, the association Les Amis de la Maison Jacob, in Castelnau-Montratier, has been presenting the photos of photographer Cécile Zygalski in its vaulted room on Place Gambetta since November 1st. The exhibition is open until November 30 on Friday and Saturday, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Finally, in Montcuq, the Livres Books & Co bookstore is honoring photographer Chris Collister from November 7 to January 12, with an exhibition that pays tribute to Scotland. Opening reception on Friday November 8, from 6:30 p.m.
Visible then during the opening hours of the bookstore.
