A first consecration for Cecilia Spurio and Eugenio Anfuso after only a few months of activity. Based near République, in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, their restaurant Dizzy has just won the public prize awarded during the evening of The Fork Awardswhich was held on Monday December 2, 2024, in the magnificent Salle Wagram. This award was presented to them in front of more than 300 guests, including Matt Goldberg (president of Tripadvisor), Almir Ambeskovic (president of TheFork), Damien Rodière (general manager TheFork Western Europe) and many chefs and key figures of the French gastronomy: Arnaud Lallement, Marc Haeberlin, Éric Fréchon, Fabien Ferré, Paul Pairet, Michel Sarran…

A great start in the world of gastronomy

The mark of a more than encouraging start for Cecilia Spurio and Eugenio Anfuso who opened their establishment in 2024. This former lawyer converted into a starred pastry chef, working for Guy Savoy and Yannick Alléno, and this chef passionate about haute cuisine, who notably cut their teeth at Pierre Gagnaire, combine their know-how and the love of their native Italy.

“Amâlia dares a bold and modernized reinterpretation of French cuisine, in refined dishes that promote quality products,” praises The Fork in a press release.

You can taste, among other things, ravioli stuffed with prawns, nduja condiment and cashew nuts, hollandaise with shellfish and lime or mango mousse and sorbet, marigold, Chinese pomelo and light saffron cloud.

The duo was recently praised by Gault& with a very promising 14/20.

In total, six 2024 winners have been revealed, talented young chefs, from the four corners of , who have recently opened or taken over a restaurant. An event made possible thanks to the votes of the general public, who nominated their favorites on the TheFork-Awards.fr website:

The Grand Public Prize was awarded to Philippe Joly, from the restaurant L’Extra in (51).
