Kate Middleton “brave”: this former member of the royal family knows what she is talking about

Kate Middleton surprised the British by announcing that she was suffering from cancer last March. Prince William’s wife has opted for transparency and, far from media coverage, she sometimes speaks to give her news. Last July, the Princess spoke to emergency service staff who attended the fatal stabbings at a dance studio in Southport, Merseyside. An outing which was widely commented on, notably by Sarah Ferguson. During an interview given to Channel 5 this Wednesday, October 16, she wanted to praise Kate Middleton.

Sarah Ferguson was transparent. “I think the princess did a wonderful job getting there,” she first said. “It was a gesture so brave, and it’s just wonderful to see that. This will inspire and help these poor families and that is what we should seek to do, encourage, encourage and encourage,” she declared afterwards. Sarah Ferguson also mentioned the video of Prince William’s wife in which she explains that she is in remission. “I mean, I was so emotional. It was magnificent,”

she confided, still very touched by this initiative.

Kate Middleton: a princess who opted for transparency

Sarah Ferguson does not hesitate to highlight the fact that Kate Middleton has chosen to publicly discuss her health concerns. “She’s showing the world what it’s really like to take care of yourself and love yourself to help others, and I think it’s amazing what she’s done,” she says. As a public person, Prince William’s wife has opted for transparency, recalling the importance of taking care of one’s health. If she was somewhat forced to come out of silence to deny rumors, Kate Middleton has chosen to share a minimum of information with the British.

Sarah Ferguson wanted to salute the courage of King Charles III, who also suffers from cancer. “I think they, along with Kate Middleton, are an example for all families who are going through their own difficulties in their health journey,” she said. She then adds that the King and Princess of Wales are very brave for speaking openly about their respective struggles. “They also tell each other that they are there for each other and it’s beautiful,” continues Sarah Ferguson, very touched. If their love for Prince William already brought Kate Middleton and King Charles III together, their health concerns brought them closer together.

Sarah Ferguson: a courageous woman also affected by cancer

Sarah Ferguson praised Kate Middleton and King Charles III but she also took advantage of this interview to give me some news. She faced breast cancer in 2023 before being affected by skin cancer a year later.
“When you are told you have cancer, you can’t help but think it’s a death sentence,” she said before continuing:
“Your mind wanders to the darkest places and you wonder what lies ahead and how you will share the news with your family.”. Just like the wife of Prince William and the King, Sarah Ferguson has opened up about her fight to get important messages across.

“I am living proof of the importance of never missing screening appointments and always getting symptoms checked promptly” she assured.
Today, Sarah Ferguson no longer misses the slightest symptom and she pays a lot of attention to her health. Even though it can sometimes be restrictive, she is fully aware that her cancer can return. “I have accepted the reality that regular checkups will become a part of my life. I have made it my mission to use my journey to raise awareness about this issue.” she concluded.
