PREVIEW – The actor and comedian is resurrecting the game from the early 2000s this Wednesday evening on M6. If he took up the brittle tone of Laurence Boccolini, he took the opportunity to slip in some scathing barbs.

After “The Right Price” and “May the Best Win”, M6 continues its exhumation of missing games. For “The Weak Link”, the choice to entrust orders to Vincent Dedienne was obvious as he is a fan of the game launched in 2001 on TF1 with Laurence Boccolini. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better successor. The actor and comedian, decked out in glasses and a black suit, excels in the role of the ultra-brittle host.

“Who came just to show their face on and above all showed that there was nothing in it? », “Who feels like a dachshund in a greyhound show?” , “Who came to prove that one can be known and know nothing?”… So many offbeat questions asked of the sixteen personalities (Julie Gayet, Marc Lavoine, Bernard Campan, Florence Foresti, Michel Hazanavicius…) who came to play in favor of the Women Safe & Children institute. “It’s tasty to be unpleasant with stars”admits the one-night host.

General hilarity

Among his many punchlines, mostly written, Vincent Dedienne also decided to target certain personalities. Always with humor. Thus, as a preamble to the first part, the actor and comedian declared: “It wouldn’t be the game we watched when life was good, when there was no Twitter, no glyphosate, when there were two Rita Mitsouko, when I still had good hair density and when Pascal Praud gave his opinion only on football”.

Just after the first round, the actor and comedian caused general hilarity among the candidates by saying: “Who played as well in this round as Jean-Luc Reichmann in his series Léo Matteï Unable to hold back her laughter, Florence Foresti hid behind her hand. Not far from her, Camille Combal, who also works on TF1, also couldn’t help but laugh, just like Bernard Campan who slumped on his desk.

“Whether it’s Pascal Praud, Cyril Hanouna or Jean-Luc Reichmann, I attack people who will recover”

Still in the same tone, Vincent Dedienne then pointed out Nicolas Sarkozy’s legal troubles. “Let’s do what justice has been doing with Nicolas Sarkozy for over ten years, let’s take a suspicious look at your accounts. 200 euros on this round or 500 euros in total, it’s not great, you deserve prison too”he said.

During the second part, the host did not weaken and remained just as scathing. “I had seen somewhere, I don’t know if it’s in the Bible or on the set of Cyril Hanouna that human beings are capable of the worst as well as the best. You gave us a great demonstration of the worst, it’s when you want the best”he told the candidates. Then, faced with their many wrong answers, he asked them: “Who is so far west that he always thought that Cyril Féraud et Sophie Davant were one and the same person?

Spikes that Vincent Dedienne fully assumes. “Whether it’s Pascal Praud, Cyril Hanouna or Jean-Luc Reichmann, I attack people who will recover, I don’t attack people who don’t have the power”he justified himself during the press conference given in the premises of M6. “The aim of the game, especially in a program like this, is to be a little teasing and insolent with authority, with people who have power”he stressed.

And it is also an opportunity to respond to Cyril Hanouna’s attack. Indeed, at the end of March, the host of “Touche pas à mon poste!” on C8 had predicted “a huge jail” for “The Weakest Link”. “It is neither done nor to be done. It’s going to be catastrophic. The only weak link will be the audiences”he declared.
