Yes! Denitsa Ikonomova revealed she learned she was pregnant during filming. A nice surprise which certainly added a touch of authenticity to his role!
“Arnauld Mercadier was truly visionary because it was not planned“, she confided before adding: “When he called me to tell me the role was for me, I said, ‘At what point is the role for me? I’ve never had a child, I’ve never been pregnant. I asked him why he had thought of me. He told me: ‘I always wanted to tour with you, I think you have a lot of potential, I adore you and you’ll see, you’ll be surprising. I have much more confidence in you than you do in yourself’.”
“He was so moved”
Before accepting the director’s proposal, Denitsa Ikonomova “thought a lot“. Finally, she discovered a nice surprise in the middle of her adventure: “We start filming and I discover that I am pregnant. When I told him, once everything was set up, everything was shot, he was so moved, so happy. He said to me: ‘It’s not possible, it’s like I had a vision and I really felt it was for you.’“
As a reminder, the pretty brunette announced her pregnancy on August 8 on her social networks before revealing the identity of the child’s father: François Alu.
