Le360 had the opportunity to attend a warm and spontaneous meeting between two music legends, Cheb Khaled, icon of Algerian raï, and Omar Sayed, pillar of Nass El Ghiwane. This meeting took place on Thursday October 3, 2024, on the sidelines of the first edition of the “Fun Festival” at the Casablanca Vélodrome.
Scheduled for opening night, this duo of artists took the opportunity to share mutual respect and affection. Khaled, who obtained Moroccan nationality in 2013 by decision of King Mohammed VI, is deeply attached to Moroccan culture, especially since he is married to a Moroccan woman.
A great admirer of the music of Nass El Ghiwane, Khaled expressed his brotherhood to Omar Sayed: “We will come to see you at your home, me, my wife and my children. We are blood brothers.»
