Spotted in Everybody Wants Some !!directed by Richard Linklater, the man has become the new darling of Hollywood thanks to Top Gun : Maverick, Twisters et Hit Man.

Soon, Glen Powell will be appearing in The Running Manthe new film directed by Edgar Wright. Furthermore, an article from Hollywood Reporter recently revealed that Katy O’Brian, one of Powell’s partners in Twistersgo join him in the casting of the new adaptation of Stephen King’s text.
As a reminder, Running Man is originally a novel published in 1982 under the pseudonym Richard Bachman. It takes place in 2025, in a fascist America where a television show features individuals hunted by killers to entertain the crowds. The longer contestants survive, the more money they earn. King’s text has already been adapted for the cinema with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead role, in a film directed by Paul Michael Glaser and released in 1987.
In the version co-written and directed by Edgar Wright, Katy O’Brian will play one of the candidates on the show. Note that the American actress, writer and martial artist is part of rising stars of contemporary Hollywood. She first appeared on television (Z Nation, Black Lightning) and more recently at Disney (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, The Mandalorian).
After a superb performance in the Love Lies Bleeding directed by Rose Glass, Katy O’Brian will appear in the next Mission : Impossibleas well as in the first feature film directed by Tina Romero, daughter of George A. Romero, Queens of the Dead. According to the Hollywood Reporter, The Running Man will come out in the United States on November 21, 2025. No French release date has yet been revealed.
