Former model, now presenter, Églantine Éméyé had to reconcile her professional career with a long struggle in her private life. In 2005, she gave birth to Samy, her second child. The latter was born with a severe multiple disabilityincluding significant autistic disorders. Then begins a long fight against the disease. Book, documentary… Églantine Éméyé tries to highlight all the difficulties to which she is exposed. Unfortunately, this 17-year-long struggle ends in tragedy. On February 20, 2023, Samy died at the Timone hospital in Marseille. “I was caught in a whirlwind, it’s a whole way of being that changed for me” confides the host to TV Star.
Despite the pain of losing her child, the presenter chose to continue the fight. For her first son, Marco, but also for the parents of autistic children whom she helps to help via son association A step towards life. A year and a half after the death of her son, the former model found the courage to return to the hospital where her son lost his life.

Through this report from the Marseille hospital, Églantine Éméyé would like to thank these caregivers who helped Samy fight against his illness. “If they hadn’t all been there, I wouldn’t have been able to stand this ordeal.” she confides to TV Star.
But returning to this establishment where his son took his last breath constitutes a formidable ordeal for this mother. “I did not want to return to the unit where my son was hospitalized“ she explains, “but as we filmed for several weeks, I found myself in the office of Professor Milh, the doctor who treated my son.” In a sequence from the documentary, the fifty-year-old finds herself in the room where the said doctor told her what was going to happen to her child.
The report will also show the great investment hospital staff. “They show a lot of solidarity and listening” testifies the director of the documentary. Samy and the Angels of Timone will be both a vibrant tribute to French caregivers but also a way for a bruised mother to continue to grieve. For the moment, however, there is no question of seeing the former presenter of Chic in a role as a full-time host, she who plays the role of Agathe Lecaron’s joker in the Kindergarten House.
