The state dinner of Emmanuel Macron and Xi Jinping

Many stars honored with their presence the state dinner held this Monday, May 6, at the Élysée, on the occasion of the official visit to French territory by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
This Monday, May 6, while the Met Gala was taking place, Anna Wintour’s fashion event in the United States, Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron received, in France, Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan. This is their third official visit to the country since Macron came to power. For the occasion, many personalities, Chinese and French, came for a 5-star dinner.

On one side, the directors Jean-Jacques Annaud and Luc Besson, the singer Mireille Mathieu and the actress Sophie Marceau. The godfather of electronic music Jean-Michel Jarre was also present alongside his wife, Chinese actress Lida Guan. Still on the cultural side, the Chinese pianist Lang Lang, followed by the French architect Jean Nouvel.
Caviar and crab meat
The dinner also included the presence of many ministers, who surround Emmanuel Macron on a daily basis. Among them, the Minister of Sports Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, Bruno Le Maire, the Minister of the Economy, and the President of the National Assembly Yael Braun-Pivet. Old ones too, like Jack Lang or Dominique de Villepin. Without forgetting the great business leaders such as the president of the LVMH group Bernard Arnault, who came with his daughter Delphine Arnault, and François-Henri Pinault, president of Kering, in the arms of his wife Salma Hayek. Note that the guests were offered a gourmet meal, crab meat and caviar as a starter, Bresse chicken supreme with baby spinach as a main course, spring strawberries and crunchy meringue for dessert.
