“Welcome to the most beautiful son in the world, we love you more than anything”: it is with these few words and several black and white photos that Frances Bean Cobain announced the birth of her little boy on Sunday. Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk was born on September 17. The fruit of her love with the American skateboarder Riley Hawk – son of the famous skate champion of the same name – to whom she has been married since October 2023.
The happy grandpa also greeted this birth with “My favorite grandson”. Harper Grohl, daughter of Dave Grohl, ex-Nirvana drummer and now leader of the Foo Fighters, posted a host of hearts and moved faces to celebrate the good news.
Frances Bean Cobain was only two years old when her famous father died in 1994 at the age of 27. Raised by her mother Courtney Love, plagued by numerous addictions, the little girl had a complicated childhood and then a complicated adolescence.
Emancipated at the age of 17, she then inherited 37% of the Nirvana singer’s fortune and has since managed his image rights.
