This Saturday, September 28, France 3 is broadcasting the TV film Vivid memories with Stéphane Freiss, Meena Rayann, Samy Naceri and Martin Lamotte. The pitch? “Fabrice Da Costa, deputy mayor of Valbonne, is expected to inaugurate a commemorative plaque in tribute to the harkis. But it was in the swimming pool of his splendid villa that his body was found. Floating in a real bloodbath“, lit-on.

This TV film also marks the return of Stéphane Freiss to our screens. The actor and director spoke to our colleagues at Sunday newspaper on his career but not only that. Delphine Horvilleur’s companion returned to the young man he was and the lack of self-confidence he may have felt. “I didn’t like myself very much. My adolescence was complicated because my parents kept quiet about many of their war-related traumas: the wounds of a family torn apart, massacred, exiled.”he began by explaining to our colleagues. And to resume: “I was not solid academically, I changed chests many times. I had a terrible complex in relation to others (…) It created anxiety in me which translated into physical manifestations: I could stay for an hour or two on a sidewalk or a subway platform, I had eczema and repeated attacks of spasmophilia”. “I went to the hospital regularly to give me injections”concluded Stéphane Freiss frankly.

And Stéphane Freiss became an actor

The actor explained to our colleagues that this was one of the reasons which made him want to become an actor. “This lack of confidence, even if it is never really cured, was tremendously relieved by dramatic art. As my story was not completely transmitted to me, I built myself through others. That’s probably how I started to become interested in myself.”he tried to analyze.

Speaking of history, if France 3 broadcasts this Saturday September 28 at 9:10 p.m. the new TV film Vivid memories, It’s for a very specific reason. “On the occasion of the National Day of Tribute to the Harkis which has been held since 2021, every year, on September 25, France Télévisions offers a new fiction which highlights, through a thriller and strong characters, the resonance today of the situation of the harkis who fought alongside the French army during the Algerian War, from 1954 to 1962“, we could read in a press release from France Télévisions.
